About

Walking in the forest.

Hello! I’m Ryan Conners, a self-taught cat folk artist from California. (Currently in NW PA) I have two beautiful children, Tiarnan Smári and Anna Siobhán, and six beautiful cats, Puddy, Merlin, Dahlia, and the Bombay babies-Carbon and Violet, the feral girl Lily, and the vagabond a neighbor left in the cold Fluffernutter! I paint, make dolls, paper stuff, other things, take lots of photos … Anything I can figure out how to make, I’ll try to make it.

Photography is a hobby of mine, that helps keep my family entertained while we’re living in a very small town. I use my trusty little Canon t1i (500D) with mainly my 50mm 1.4 lens and my Mother’s 100mm 2.8L lens.

  2. Your creative and colourful cat paintings are so beautiful. Fascinated me. But also your own cats too, I loved them all. You are so creative, Thank you, love, nia

  3. Hi, just noticed your request not to use your cat paintings without permission so wondered if it is okay to reblog? I am doing a Halloween theme this month and would like to highlight your wonderful cat art on my blog if that’s okay.

  4. Hi Ryan – I am an elementary art teacher and know my kids would love your work, as I have just newly stumbled across it myself! Are you comfortable with me making your art into a little lesson for my 6th graders? I would show your work and your name and then have them make an animal with an accessory…. it would not be to look just like yours, but to be inspired by it. Your pictures are so happy and feel good- I just love them! I am planing to buy one for my wall at home as well, but still deciding between a few! Thank you for sharing your amazing work with all of us!! And please let me know if you have any problems or questions about me introducing a lesson! Thanks! 🙂
