Me with our semi-feral kitty, Lily! She will cuddle at night, but try to take a picture with her…aka anything that may require holding her, is off limits!

Little Clay Houses

I’ve decided to take my old photography shop on Etsy and turn it into a little clay shop, name KilkennyCat Clay! Eventually all of my clay items in my art shop will be there too, but for now it’s mostly little houses. My daughter wanted to collaborate with me, making some sort of art, so we decided on the miniature clay houses. _MG_6997-26

Taking her Icelandic heritage, she decided she would like to make some Icelandic turf houses! She came up with the rounded design and hand sculpted each of the little round turf houses. =)

We also have some ornaments, and plan to make a lot of the styles available as ornaments as well. I think a Christmas tree with the stark white houses, with their chartreuse moss rooftops, will look lovely!

Three Witches and Their Familiars

I know it’s supposed to be Christmas in July, but honestly, Halloween is coming sooner and I’m excited! Here are three witches with their familiars. =)

Happy National Camera Day!

As I’m totally horrible at remembering days like this, I spent today painting some mini watercolor paintings/illustrations of cats and cameras. =) I really need some sort of “none-major-holiday” alert system, that gives me at least a 2 week notice. I tucked them into their own little section in my Etsy shop. You can find them here.
